Athena - FANA's miracle girl

Supported was the Post/Op surgical care of a 2 yr old girl, Athena with severe maxillo/facial deformities at birth. Mother claimed the little girl was not intertained by Operation Smile for surgical interventions. Until the Jackson Foundation based from the Providence Hospital led by Dr. Jakson had undertaken the case and paid for Athena and her mother's flight to the US for a series of operations. She underwent series of major operations and just last month they mother and Athena went home with brighter smile with hope. Nora and Van really accommodated these two individuals for all the care and love with free boarding , lodging and day and night nursing care during endless recuperation at the entire 6 months.

Here's the pictures of Athena before and after surgery..

Volunteerism during the Holidays and Beyond

In these hard economic times it is not unusual to hear that people are having tough times making ends meet. Perhaps even someone close to you is experiencing a hard time. If you’re feeling frustrated or saddened trying to find ways to help the people in your community, consider volunteering. Volunteering gives you an opportunity to change lives, including your own. Making a difference in someone else’s life will definitely help you improve yours. There is no greater gift than the gift of helping others!
